Was recently given two, 2005-P Jefferson Bison Nickels. Both coins are in amazing conditions, and one of them has a proof finish. My first thought was that it was plated, but it weighs identical to the standard coin. Wondering if this is a common error, or if maybe this is a one of a kind.Mahalo for reading and I welcome any helpful input.

to CCF. What color is it? They do have plated ones that were done after they left the mint.

Well we all know it's not a proof so it has to be plated .

It is either a plated or polished circulation strike.

It has either been polished, or plated. Not a mint error.

To CCF! This coin has been polished, and it's not a genuine error coin. It's Post Strike Damage (it happened after it left the U.S. Mint).
