This is a fake British pound coin. The obverse has been paired with the wrong reverse - the UK Royal Arms design was used in 1983, 1993 and 1998: the 1992 coin should have an oak tree on the reverse. These coins were extensively forged, which is the main reason why they were replaced by the new bimetallic coin last year.
