Hey Guys,
Please see pice below. I have seen this mark on another denomination coin before, however I cannot remember what it was from. if anyone has any insight would be appreciated, thank you.

Looks like a reed hit from another coin.On a Franklin half the MM is on the reverse.

I meant to say designer initials not mint mark, and the marks are raised there not hits.

What you are showing below the 6 of the date is a reed hit from another coin, and yes it will be raised because the metal was pushed up and displaced once the hit occurred.

Designer initials are on the bottom left of bust. What you have under the date are Reed Marks.

That's coin contact damage under the date, caused by another coins reeded edge hitting the surfaces of your coin.

It looks to me like one of the hits from the reeding of another coin also slightly contacted Franklin's bust.
