Can anyone help me to identify this coin? Weigth 8.35 gram. Diameter 25 mm.

Looks like there is a rough strip of metal on the reverse. Perhaps a button that had the loop snapped off?

Doesn't look like a coin to me. Where did you acquire it?

Maybe you're rigth. A very old button if it is a button. I got in Collection with a lot of roman, islamic and medieval coins.

It reminds me of some of the 'hop tokens' from Kent and Sussex in England. The farm owners paid them to hop-pickers in return for each bushel of hops they picked, and at the end of the week they could trade them for cash.
