Hey Guys,
Wondering if this appears to be a natural color for a Wheat penny, not sure if my pictures to it justice but it looks allot different from all of my other wheat pennies. I will be weighing it later too see what it comes out too. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

It has been cleaned in a chemical cleaning solution, such as a hydroponic jewelry cleaner. This tends to bring the "yellow" out. The surface has been damaged actually, a layer of metal removed and chemically altered.

Or the coin was plated gold. That also happens. Pretty much ruins the collector value. Attractive to new collectors. But it is a Wheat cent.

Just a gold plated LWC. It's been altered. It's worth Copper melt value (and yes, I know it's illegal).
