Picked this coin up at an auction at what I think is a good price. I searched and searched online but couldn't find anything that looked even close. It was sold as a silver medallion mounted in 14kt gold. No idea its history. Any help would be great. Thank you.

Most likely made specifically to fit in that bezel. Good news is there is a good chance it is real silver.

Try searching "Chalkidian League tetradrachm".

I suspect it is a jeweler's copy of a coin of Olynthos (in the Chalcidian league as Bob L suggested). I once had a similar copy, removed from jewelry. I may actually have it still. I will look.

This is my jeweler's copy. A bit more wear and tear but unfortunately, it seems to be a match. I've had this one for at least 15 years.
