Titles are Important! * Hello, I have a 1940 S with a doubling on the right sides of the #1 and #9 . and the mint mark appears as a 8. Is there any value to this coin. Look at the centers of the devices for spread on the devices: Variety Vista 1940 DDO-002 Strong extra thickness on all lettering and date. http://www.varietyvista.com/01a%20L...0PDDO002.htm Check out the date. Spread means the devices are enlarged. On your coin you looking at the edge of the devices where all the Machine Doubling happens. Report this Post to the Staff
