Hey everyone I came across two 1961 D pennies with what I believe is the freemason sign stamped into them. Can anyone give me a little background on that?
They're called counterstamps. It's a form of Post Strike Damage (it happened after it left the U.S. Mint). Although, it's collectable to counterstamp collecters.
