coinguybrian Rest in Peace United States 5375 Posts	Posted 07/10/2008 9:57 pm I messaged some guy on there about a possible scam, and he wanted more info, but when I tried to message him back it gave me that "attention! we have determined that you are not involved with an open transaction blah blah blah" message. How lame. If you already are in a conversation with someone, it shouldn't BLOCK you from contacting them. Report this Post to the Staff

I understand that it's for their protection against phishers but it's still a very flawed system They should just allow all CCF members to have full moderator access to ebay Coins....that oughta do the trick Report this Post to the Staff

SeatedNut Pillar of the Community United States 2797 Posts	Posted 07/11/2008 08:18 am Bottom line on all this is ... it's against ebay Terms of Service to contact another member about an ongoing auction. They only allow communications between the seller and potential buyers. There's a glitch in their system that will sometimes allow contact between members, but as ShadowCreator found out it's a one-time only deal. I think they plan to close it off completely in the near future. I don't like it either when a scammer takes advantage of the uninformed/uneducated. I have also sent out warnings. Our only recourse under the ebay rules is to send the matter to ebay and let them resolve it. And we all know how fast they react! Report this Post to the Staff
