I also like these Mauryan Karshapana, each punch mark is supposed to correspond to a letter spelling out the rulers name. However there is still some debate if that is true or not. I have a book titled "Ancient Indian Coins, Decoding of their Indus-Brahmi inscriptions with special emphasis on the punch marked coins, by Mondal" It's an interesting book, but isn't easy to follow. I've had the book for some time , but haven't had to time to really get into it yet. Still I think it's worth the $100 I paid for it. https://www.amazon.com/Ancient-Indi...p/9381209162

Yeah, these are fun. I have just one. A starting point, Half, is the Mauryan gallery at Coinindia: http://coinindia.com/galleries-maurya.html

Thanks for sharing. Neat little coin.

Nice pickup! These are fun coins to own, even if they aren't possible to attribute to a king. I have a handful, but my favorite by far is usually called the "three figures" type:

Also, I'm not sure what you paid for it, but ebay prices seem to have been pushed a little high lately; if you wait a bit you should be able to buy them in this grade for about $5-6; I've been seeing prices closer to $10.

Yep nice coin!

Here is mine... I was lucky enough to find the exact punchmark symbols at coin India..
And here is another link that could be helpful..

This too has my coins set of symbols attributed to Devadharman-Devavarman...It would be interesting to see if Rons book spelt these letters?
