Concerning the date, the separations are within the devices. Does that indicate a DDO? The photo of "WE" certainly looks like a DDO-001. What do you think? Thanks

That's Machine Doubling, not a Doubled Die Obverse.

Note on the bottom edges of the 'E' on WE, the raised metal? It shows like slop that was plowed, move a bit from the MD. This is what to look for on MD on devices. Also the bottom of the those areas, if you could look at it it appears to be striation lines on that area also between the pushed area and the fields. What does metal striation lines look like?

These show the edge of the devices slid across the metal. (a sign for Machine Doubling caused by die movement)

If a doubled die was present, then the metal would show it normal contour, instead of the striation lines.

Note on the this doubled die, the devices are showing the contour of the devices. (Light flowing from lighter to darker gradually) Note you can see this on both sides of the devices. The areas showing hub doubling and the areas show the normal devices contour. On a MD example this is not seen. The normal contour appears on one side, then the flattened, distorted, same color look. Not the light to darker gradual look that the normal side of the device shows.
