These two varieties that I don't have yet just showed up at my LCS, and they haven't been priced yet so I'm hoping to work out a deal.

What would these grade at, and since the prices in the 2013 Charlton may not be up to date, what would be a fair price for each of these?

I see a couple of stores pricing them close to $100 or over (don't know if they sold) but they're ICCS graded. Raw ones sold on ebay or icolllector range from $16 to $45.
How often to the GAN counterstamps come up for sale, including live auctions? And do they typically look like this, or can they be positioned a little nicer and minus the stray cuts?

Charlton prices seem relatively high for the 1974 varieties, ebay sold prices for raw coins are about half of what's listed. Smaller 1974 varieties don't seem to generate much interest in icollector even when certified, with about the same halfway to the catalogue price.

Nice. I haven't pulled a GAN or VCR-5 yet. I've been able to sell duplicate '74 doubled dies in the $12-25 range, most around the latter. I've been really hoping to find the counterstamp, with no luck so far. The last one I've noticed at auction was in a Bell sale a few years ago (which would have been one of the ones you referenced... I think that went for 40 or 45, if I recall).

There were only 1000 1970 dollars counterstamped. Most of those found are in the Vancouver area, as that is where they were stamped. I have two in ICCS MS-64 holders.

I might have an extra one for you chequer... I'll rummage through my old show stock when I get back home.

Good luck chequer! They're still out there waiting to be discovered.

What's your opinion on these SPP? The owner has given me permission to post these here for opinions.

Both coins are pretty banged up. The GAN coin probably is a $25 purchase - they are popular.

The 1974s can be easily found in the wild or in dealer buckets, all it takes is patience and time. If you have to buy one, in that grade, keep your offer under $10.

If you are unsuccessful with your 1974 offer, PM me...
