The Royal Canadian Numismatic Association (
RCNA) recently completed its annual Convention; the 2018 edition was held in Toronto.
One of the souvenirs the Association produced for the show was a 1984 Toronto Sesquicentennial proof silver dollar encapsulated by PCGS. The "slab" features a custom insert / label with "
RCNA Souvenir Series" and "Toronto - 2018" being printed along with the standard coin descriptors.
I've been told that 50 of the souvenirs were produced, with 12 of them grading PR-69 DCAM; others were PF68 or PF67.
I was unable to attend the Convention, but I arranged to purchase one of the Toronto souvenir coins to help support the
RCNA and its mission to enhance the hobby and to serve and support collectors across Canada (and beyond).
I've been a Life Member of the
RCNA for 20+ years and have enjoyed being a part of it. I would encourage you to learn more about the
RCNA by visiting
http://www.rcna.ca and by considering becoming a member.
