Nice score, Silver Don, and interesting topic.
I have mixed feelings to these sets.
In my opinion - they are too simple. I think, RCM better to pack them on the hard plastic cover (similar to proof or specimen sets).
But let's not confuse between the different items.
If I remember correctly, in 2006, 2007 and 2008 where NO 'simple' baby sets.
The 2007 was represented by:
set with medallions and Silver loonie
set with tin boxes and Silver loonie
set with Disc and Silver loonie.
the above demand realy nice premium (compares to issue price), and these are parallel to the 2011-now "Welcome to the World" silver coins (the ones that you keep in the 'O Canada' Wooden box)
I have sets to / for my kids:
2007 set with Disc and Silver Loonie (unopened) - should I send the coin for grading, maybe?
2012 simple Baby set (this one hasn't increased in value) (why, why I didn't buy 2012 1/2 oz Welcome to the World?)
