I think this is the RPM-001 on variety vista. It hasn't come in the mail yet but I think the pic is clear enough to tell!

Could be, but it's a most attractive coin in any event.

Thanks coinfrog. I needed one for my collection variety or not. I've got another wheat coming in the mail this week and the pics aren't good enough to verify it. I'll post that one when it comes in.

Very nice ! That should be it.
I have passed or been outbid on a few die #1 and #2's though I was able to snag a very nice die #3 and #4. 1928-S rpm's can be hard to come by , Congrats!

Will , I have been on both ends of that kind of bidding.
My closest one that I came out ahead on was a 1924-S ddr-001 . I came out ahead by only .02 cents ! It's my favorite class six DD reverse of the Wheat series and this one is the highest grade one I have seen documented.

That is a thick one stoneman. I'm not bidding on it because it has a horrendous scratch on the reverse but it looks it could be the rpm-2.

1909-S LWC RPM-002 is really, really common. It is visible in a fair percentage of the coins listed on ebay. Stay away from the big reverse scratch and just wait for a nice one in the condition you want comes up at auction and get a good price on it. Patience will get you a nice one of these RPMs for just under what a normal one costs. Probably can find one in an earlier die state than that one as well.

Stoneman that 24-S rocks! Mine is barely maybe VF but that one is fairly rare so I'm happy.
