This is kind of a rough coin, to say the least, but I am hoping that the fine folks who regularly browse this forum might be able to assist based on a partial legend or general type.

Looks to be about AE12, weight is 2.14 grams. Serrated edge. Possibly Seleucid (Denomination D) based on the general type; I found similar reverses listed under Antiochos IV but they were all listed as AE13's or AE14's.

Obverse appears to be the remains of a right-facing bust.

Reverse appears to be a figure standing facing, possibly veiled, the right arm extended and holding a staff or scepter. Partial legends on the left and right sides.

The partial right side legend looks like it might be ΑΣΙΛ (ASIL) which would fit with Seleucid coinage.

Help appreciated as always!

Agreed, Seleucid. Here's an AE14, also at 2.14 gm:

Looks very similar! If I turn the reverse 90 degrees CCW I can see what looks like the ANTI part of the legend.

I wish mine had a bit better obverse but the reverse is at least partially discernible.
