I've always wanted to add a coin from Ancient India coin to my collection and I came across this one but really have no idea as to whether or not it is genuine.

I've looked it up in Numista but I really don't know what to look for in regards to ancient coins?

The coin that I asked about previously from Ancient India arrived today. It was purchased through an ebay auction.

Before I leave feedback could I again please ask for further opinions on whether it's genuine or not as there were lots of indicators that made me feel wary.

1. The seller has only been a member for a short time and because of this had no feebback record.
2. He had around ten different ancient India coins up for auction which he said were all rare and he had a spelling mistake in his description.
3. After making my payment of AUD$30 a week went by and it still hadn't been sent, nor had I heard anything from the seller, so I sent him a message.
4. I heard back later that day to say that it had now been sent. The strange thing was that he gave a tracking number through India Post while the listing said the seller was in Melbourne, Australia.

I have taken some photos to show the coin that arrived which appears to be the one that was in the listing. It is approx. 21mm in diameter and weighs 9g on my kitchen scales (only weighs to the closest gram).

Have I been lucky or have I been done?

The weight is good. As Echizento said, it's certainly authentic and is a decent example of the type.

Rons good on these and I think he has already said that he believes its a genuine coin...

From your photos the edge looks good nice relief on the obverse...weight and dia.spot on..Nice patina..

In response to your 4 indicators..

1,Everyone has to start somewhere.
2,I buy alot of coins on ebay from Indian suppliers phrases such as RARE and CHOICE are commonplace, along with spelling mistakes.
3,Newbie maybe feeling his feet?...but yes a week does seem a long time...But...
4,He replied and sent your coin which you've received......

And a very nice coin too!
