recently uncovered two of these coins with no date but 3 stars?

The pictured coin was minted at San Francisco and features the Type 2 design before the date was recessed. Date range 1917 to 1924. The only year the above coin CANNOT be is 1921 as those were only struck in Philadelphia.

And to the best of my knowledge there is no method of "reviving" the date like there is with nickles (Nic-a-Date).

Cheers for the help guys, I was having trouble because when looking for help they mention the 1916 coin without the 3 stars and then the rest have to have a date. But the two have stars and no date.

As noted, this is just a very worn Type 2 specimen with no value above melt.
