If you are referring to the thickness of the letters, that is the design of the Master Hubbing dies, they were old, and would be redesigned in 1969. LIBERTY has contact hits on the L. On the reverse note the stretching of letter tops to the rim = Die Deterioration. Report this Post to the Staff
