I am hoping someone can do me a favor and please post photos of a series of coins. say, all 50 cents or silver dollars in the following grades so I can learn to see the difference. I am trying to learn how to see the difference between ms65, proof, mirror and cameo.

thanks for any help you can share.

Hi,
If you use the Heritage Auction website, you can find large numbers of examples. I would use a rarer morgan ( like 1892-S) to find the AU/MS photos and maybe a more common 1881-S for the PL, DMPL. I use it often to compare the various grades given by the different TPG. You can blow up the photos quite large and is easy to use.

Malissa,

I would also go to our own coin grading section and peruse the offerings and grades offered. We usually encourage the graders to provide rationale for their grades, so you will also learn some of the nuances of grading. You don't have to look at all the threads, just do a date and/or type search from the grading forum. If your emphasis is on Canadian coins, I'm sorry to say there aren't many examples there.
