to the community The first coin is genuine and is a Civic issue from the ancient city of Taxila circa 165 BC. The other side should have an Elephant on it. Similar to this: The second is a modern cast fake coin.

This set looks good and includes a number of coins from the Kushan Empire, among other cultures - including, perhaps, Baktria (the square coin), Taxila or other Indian (the railed tree), etc. Most, perhaps all, can be identified. I recommend posting close up pictures of each coin, showing both front (obverse) and back (reverse). Here are VERY tentative ID's on some...need those pics of both sides to verify. This is a first guess:

The Islamic coin reads al-sultan / al-mu'azzam / mu'izz al-dunya ... probably Ghorids, Mu'izz al-Din Muhammad b. Sam.

First to the community... As BobL said it would be really benificial if you could post photos of both sides and approx sizes which is quite important as you seem to have a lot of kanishka I coins and I think I'm right in saying that the Didrachm or half unit is a lot rarer and obviously more expensive than the tetradrachm or unit coins.... The Taxila probaly has the Chaitya (3 arched hill ) with crescent above on the other side ? Something like this...I like these coins......Paul

The square coin could be Menander or Eucratides, would need to see a closer picture of both sides of the coin. From what I can tell Bob's ID's a spot on.

Quote: Vasu deva ? Yeah, not sure about that one. Could be another Kanishka I. As you say, Paul, more photos, with close up views, are needed. Hopefully the OP follows through.

As you probably know Huvishka coppers have three obverse types, the elephant-rider, the couch-recliner, and the cross-legged, but with numerous reverse deities. Yours is... Obverse: King mounted on elephant right. Reverse: Four-armed Shiva God Oksho holding four different objects. Greek legend "OKPO". Possible match to this one on vcoins...Very rare and unlisted? ..........................................................................You also have the crossed leg type..Difficult to tell but I´m pretty sure the reverse is the Mao Lunar deity type, ref coin India galleries. ...........................................................................This coin looks like a match...ref coin India... AE drachm or 1/4 unit, c. 128-150 CE Weight: 4.39 gm., Diam: 16-17 mm., Die axis: 11 o'clock Crowned, diademed king standing facing, holding spear and sacrificing at altar at left, Bactrian legend around: þAO ... þAη ! (King Kanishka), / Goddess Nana standing right, nimbate, holding bowl and protome of animal, Bactrian legend left: NANA, tamgha at right Göbl 806, MAC 3166-67
