Hello all, my Dad collects the special Aussie coins but doesn't know much about them nor can he really navigate the internet. I don't know much about coins myself either so am posting on his behalf. He recently came across a 2012 Remembrance Coin with the flower missing. The text below where the flower usually would be looks all etched in as normal. Dad says he hasn't seen one like this before and was wondering if anyone knows if it's an error or released like that.

Possibly the one that was suppose to have the color flower? Just a guess. I'm not familiar with these but that's about all that looks to make since

Someone has used a solvent to remove the colouring off a once red poppy coin.

Thanks! I think Dad will be a little disappointed to hear that but at least it may have saved him some face taking it somewhere to get it valued haha! Regards.
