I think I got lucky yesterday with this 44 Double ear. The photo doesn't give it justice. It looks much more like a double ear through the loupe

Sorry, but your looking at a normal ear with a bit of coin damage on it. The ear would be enlarged if it were a doubled ear.
I checked the three online site and there is not listing for a doubled ear on any of them. I see a contact mark on the ear on the top and a sloping area below the flat spot.

None for 44, however there is one for 41 P, one for 42 P, one for 42 S and two for the 55 D's

Actually, there is a doubled ear for the 1944 Denver issue but it is unlisted . I found one years ago but never sent it in. It's rather minor but has two pickup points.
