1973 D Lincoln Memorial Cent / LMC Age Old Question, Doubled Die Obverse / DDO Or Reverse Clash Or Both?

Jim0815 Pillar of the Community United States 5240 Posts	Posted 09/12/2018 3:08 pm I have quite a few of the 1973 D LMC's that have the clash marks on the reverse but I don't have one with the bust on the obverse quit like this cent either. The back looks doubled and extends extremely close to the Y in LIBERTY. The back of his head where the hair should end on the field is extended as it were doubled as well. Is this a doubled die on the obverse that caused the clash on the reverse. I've read quit a bit on this subject and have found no definitive answers. I have also included pics of a normal 1973 D LMC.
