Greetings to all. I'am new to the coin collecting world. Pocket change has been my educational platform, so far. Only experience I ever had, with the coin collecting world, was when I was 10 years old. I went into my Father's hidden strong box, and took a shinny new penny, sealed in a cardboard piece, with a clear plastic window, so you could view both sides of the penny. I ripped it out of its little frame, and ran to the corner store, where I stuck it into the bubble gum machine, and received a shiny, red, bubble gum, ball. I was still chewing and blowing bubbles that evening, when my father came in, holding the torn up cardboard penny frame. Needless to say, after a sound spanking, and a trip to the bubble gum machine. My father was able to get his penny back, and I never went into his coin collection again. Now, many years later, I finally understand why.
