Hi all. This cent is really shiny but seems like it has some hits without scratches. Do you think it's been plated?

It looks like it has had a past cleaning done.

That's my sense too - there's clearly some wear evident.

Okay, Thanks! Since it appears to be cleaned w/ scratches and pitted type texture, should I keep and just hope it's worth something in 20 years? Or is it worth something now? I have another like this that I picked up in a roll of mostly crappy, worthless LWCs from ebay. That will be the last time that happens.

IMO I'd keep it, it's in decent condition and makes a good hole filler for a nice old Whitman folder.

This is really not a keeper. It's a common date that's been altered. Worth about Two Cents.
