1988 D LMC Over Polished Die Or MD?

I found this 1988 D LMC with appears to be either an over polished die or MD. The last 8 appears doubled but doesn't match anything on VV, Mr. Wexler's site or Copper coins. I don't believe this is a new DDO but am I seeing an over polished die or MD? I truly believe this is MD by the slight reduction in size.
