Via PCGS.com:
The definition of a Brown coin is a copper coin that contains 5% Red surfaces or less, but its surfaces are mostly Brown.

The definition of a Red Brown copper coin is a coin that contains from 5% to 95% Red surfaces.

The definition of a Red coin is a coin that has at least 95% Red and up to 100% Red surfaces.

This obviously leaves a large swath for an RB classified coin. For most grading purposes these classifications are use by grading companies on higher grades as opposed to a common circulated coin. To put it more in perspective, an LMC say an 1968S in XF40, would seldom garner the RD tag, circulation has taken its toll, skin oils cause the oxidation process to accelerate at a much faster pace. An uncirculated, never out of mint cellophane say a 1964D may also have naturally began its natural oxidation process and lost some bright color, it is now considered a RB because 5% or more of its fresh off the floor color has been lost.

Now remember too, a color classification isn't a grade per se, but a stamp of "eye appeal" making that coin more desirable to some.

Also PCGS had a location called coin facts. They list certified Brown, Red brown and red coins. They also lists grades.

They also have very large images if you enlarge them. Some almost 6,000 pixels wide. Great for close up viewing. I use images from there often when I need them. (also list the FS numbers on the ones they have graded)
