rocky Pillar of the Community Canada 2784 Posts	Posted 09/22/2018 7:10 pm my question I have a chance to buy. a very large lot of proof like sets from 1960 to 2014. my problem is that the owner. thinks that some of these proof like sets contain speimen coins. the reason he believes this is because in these sets. some of the earlier sets have frosted coins.i have sets already. that have frosted coins so would that be possible. I just thought they were proof like. looking for help. any information greatly appreciated. Report this Post to the Staff

DBM Pillar of the Community Canada 9864 Posts	Posted 09/22/2018 8:59 pm There are no PL sets for 1996 and 1997,the pliofilm sets were specimen finish for those years. There are absolutely no PL coins struck after 2010. Cameo coins in PL and specimen sets range up to about 1979 after that if you want cameo you have to get Proof coins. I am going to buy it all. he has a lot of this collection already catalogued. it will be good for myself to use to learn. there is a lot of stuff in that collection. I can not find anywhere.
