Afternoon all, I recently purchased this 36 wlh, and when I got it I noticed this mark? In the obverse field above "in god" looking for some insight. Is this a planchet flaw? and how does it affect grade? Thank you very much in advance .

Looks like post minting damage to me at first glance, but sharper pics from different angles will help.

Ok I'm still figuring out lighting and focus but these should be good, multiple angles and direction of light I included a edited photo I noticed while doing this there is a die crack highlighted in blue a scratch in red and the area in question is on green, thanks again for any and all feedback.

I suspect a lamination flaw, that has partially re fused back into the coin in the minting press.

I have only the pictures to look at.
In this case, I would love to look at the coin in hand to help confirm or refute my theory.

Lovely coin, quite apart from the interesting aspects of it.
