I apologize in advance that this is (mostly) in the wrong forum.

I just want to hit the biggest audience possible because I know there are techie coin collectors that may be going to Microsoft Ignite in Orlando and I would like to see if we can get a meet-up going. I'm not sure that enough regulars read the "CCF Member News" forum so I'm repeating my post here. Mea culpa.

Anyway, please PM me if you're at Ignite. I'd love to meet a fellow CCF'er or 5 and collaborate on how we can combine coin collecting with Azure.

Hope it works out for you. I'm to far away and so far never heard of that one.

Hope you have a great time.

I grew up in Orlando and working in I.T., so this event seems perfect for me to attend.

Would love to go, but I'm 3000 miles away

All right, guys. Next time then.

Not to make anyone jealous but Microsoft is renting out both Universal theme parks for the night for the attendees. Among other perks, it's going to be glorious not having to wait in lines for rides.

To keep this somewhat coin-related before the Mods bust me down for a questionable post, the last time I went to Universal they had a drop press in the Harry Potter section (formerly generic medieval world), where you could pick two dies/designs and create your own custom pendant from a planchet of brass, silver, or gold. It operated like an old-time drop press where the operators put your dies and planchet in place, cranked up a heavy weight, joked with the audience, then dropped the weight dramatically (and sometimes twice or thrice depending on design complexity) to press the design into the planchet. I'm eager to head back there and see if that drop press is still in action.
