1975 D Lincoln Memorial Cent / LMC I Believe This Is An Repunched Mint Mark / RPM But Cannot Match It Or Is It An Repunched Mint Mark / RPM ?

Jim0815 Pillar of the Community United States 5239 Posts	Posted 09/25/2018 10:43 am I found this 1975 D LMC with an odd mint mark. It almost looks like am OMM but I know that it is not. It looks like someone glued another D mintmark on there but it is solid as a rock. Is this an RPM? I think it is an RPM but I can find NO matches for it. I want to think it took some well placed hits but there is no smearing. Insight please. Report this Post to the Staff

Crazyb0 Rest in Peace 10197 Posts	Posted 09/25/2018 11:43 am I disagree. Don't think it is damaged, appears more a multiple hip MD viewing that angle pix(good pix BTW). Note depth of devices. Mintmark is quite deep (still) while date shows signs of polished die(thin, shallow). What happens on a bounce, it will catch in its twisting movements on the "highest" devive(s), in this case, the MM. Report this Post to the Staff
