Found my first wild indian this week while searching some rolls from my local bank. What is the weirdest think any of you have found while looking through rolls.

I am always amazed when something like this turns up! Good find!

The oldest thing I have ever found roll-searching was a well worn 1911 Barber dime which is still in my 7070. It begs to be upgraded, but I have been reluctant to do so because of the sentimental value of it being my oldest "found" coin.

I found an 1899 IHC in a roll Sunday. I have seen some unexpected things, counter stamped, melted, foreign, etc, but I did not think I'd ever find an IHC. Pretty fun.

I get $40 worth of pennies at the bank once or twice a week and go through them and pull out all the wheats and anything of interest. I have found several coins from other countries, dimes, and a plastic penny. Before this IHC the oldest was a 1913.

Now is a great time to acquire coins from a bank and look through them. With this so called poor economy, many people are dumping those jars, cans, boxes, etc. of coins that have been laying around for many years. Also, unfortunately, crimes where coins are stolen is increasing for the same reason. Most criminals just dump the coins in a bank or any coin counting machine.
Keep on looking.

I pulled a MS63+ 1938 Nickel out of a roll yesterday... There was also a well worn buffalo in the same roll (1920 P). Never found a Buffalo in a roll before or a MS early Jefferson for that matter.

I found a 1875 IHC in 32 rolls a few weeks ago. At first it didn't register in my mind what it was, then when I realized it was an Indian Head, I started flipping out.

Finding a 1875 IHC in a roll is absolutely amazing. I would be completely spellbound if I came across something of that magnitude.

I haven't found anything extraordinary through circulation, but a time capsule that has been on our property since 1890 yeilded a nice-looking 1882 Morgan dollar. It has four gashes on it, but it still is great to make conversation with!
