1972 Lincoln DDO? With so many varieties out there, does anyone have an idea as to which one this would be ? I tried to get decent photos. But even with optimizing it won't upload. Even though they're within size range (below the 300). My light puts glares on the plastic coating making it hard to get good pics. Thanks

Very nice find and congratulations! You've definitely scored a real Doubled Die! It's a keeper! It's 1DO-008 on coppercoins.com. coppercoins.com/lincoln/diestate.php?date=1972&die_id=1972p1do008&die_state=mds

I believe it's DDO 003 because the doubling in the date isn't that much

It's in a cardboard sleeve. Should I enclose it in a capsule ? How well do the cardboard sleeves keep coins safe ?

I can't really find values on the the dyes except #1. Would this be worth sending off for grading, since it's not a Red ?

It is worth around $5,so not worth sending in to be slabbed.
Keep it in a 2x2 staple type holder. The reason I asked what holder it was in is because when ever possible, remove coin from whatever type holder it is in before taking photos.
Practice your pic taking skills a bit,the better the pics the better we can help. Crop and rotate properly before posting photos please.
