My new dream coin! At first I thought it may be a counterfeit, with China producing fake slabs as well as coins. But NGC confirmed its authenticity via e-mail.

Interesting piece. Not impressed though with the look of that coin in the pics and the price, forget it. Dreaming.
Rest in Peace

I took another look through the link. It seems like the excitement would come from the rarity, not the beauty. NGCs write-up talks about Liberty's head. It is true that it is usually void of too much detail. But still, I think this is one of those pieces you probably have to see in hand.

Exact same coin sold in 2016 for $47,000. New holder, same grade.

To the Forum.

If I would have that amount of money to spend , I would go for:
1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB sells for $11.4 m

to CCF Ballyhoo. If it is that rare, you would think someone would have NGC conserve it
Is that your coin Ballyhoo?
