It's fun how the common US dime is unusual for you, while the Euros are exotic to the US contingent.

Yes, it all depends on where you live. There's almost no market for US coins here. But on the other hand, you can be picky with Euros and get something nice rather cheap if you wait do some searching. Also good relationship with dealers helps a lot :) |

@Dagaz Check the word "Trust" on the half dollar and see if you see any doubling, particularly on the top of the U. I think it might be a minor DDO. |

I picked up this MS66 1830 Small Date Capped Bust Dime two days ago. Got it at a real good price! The pics don't do it justice. The fields are mirror-like and the strike is superb. I was very fortunate to get this particular coin at the price I paid for it. Got it on ebay.   |

On the bottom pic, I see a very slight doubling of the "W" in We and the first "T" in Trust.
Perhaps it's just e, bit that;s what I see. Best to you ...

Alan: After close inspection under 30x magnifying glass I didn't notice any doubling. But it sure looks that way on second and third photo. Probably something to do with light and blurr, because I was focusing on word TRUST in those photos. Thank you anyway :)

Yes, lighting and coin angle can be deceiving at times. I think I would have to go along with your 30x microscope. Good luck with your collecting!

Picked this 1984 Olympic Commemorative up at an auction this weekend, along with a beautiful 2007 Libertad which I will post later. I love SEGS slabs. This coin looks flawless in hand but since everyone turns a blind eye to SEGS slabs, so I got it for cheap. Cracked it out and put it in my Dansco    Edited by denco7

Picked this beauty up for $1.01 over exchange value:   Japan 5000 yen 1990, Osaka Garden Exposition. Face value is equivalent to US $45. Sterling silver and about the size of a half dollar. |
