Chute, in my experience, if you leave dishes long enough they seem to clean themselves, good call. My first aquisition since getting back into coins, right now I'm focusing on Canadian Nickel and Silver dollars 1935-1987 and Canadian half-dollars  |

@potsdam absolutely amazing selection, from what I see in your posts I'm sure you have a spectacular collection. I love these pre unification coins from the states and free cities. I had a small collection of them, nothing special but I liked them. sadly I gave them up and sold them for money to pursue my main interests which are Canadian.

The problem with leaving dirty dishes to be cleaned by your better half is that there is a nonzero probability that said dishes will teleport themselves into your side of the bed, into your car or perhaps your head.
If Pascal's dilemma refers to the existence of God then Pascal's domestic dilemma refers to cleaning dishes.
And could be stated approximately thusly:
Even if the chance of the dishes teleporting themselves into your head is very very small, the rewards of domestic Bliss are infinite and therefore one should clean the dishes.

@thedollarman: Thanks. I guess it is not very spectacular yet but I try to fill more and more spaces in my Prussian collection. Right now, I am concentrating on minors and provincial coinage in a decent condition. Attached are some (sorry for the bad quality) pictures of my tray with minors from Brandenburg/Prussia. I collect these by type. I really like German States coins because of the diversity. If you just look how many pages the Krause catalog of German coinage form 1500 onwards has, you can guess that there are thousands of different types.     |

Pictures are from the dealer, but I just bought this set:   I think I'll make my own pictures and send them to jbuck as contribution for 'guess the price'. :) |

Potsdam, that is a beautiful bunch of coins. I can really appreciate the history and fine craftsmanship of German coins. My Great Grandfather came from Germany in 1882, and my Grandfather got me started in coin collecting.
