Excellent Eagle, Dearborn! Sweet Silver Swan, GLB!
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Another one for my type set. This is a single-year issue that's deceptively difficult to find in good condition. Still looking for a really nice uncirculated one. Mexico 5 Centavos 1950

Beautiful Swan, GLB49. And nice single-year 5 centavos, Hondo. Are you assembling some sort of type set, as EV alluded to?

Dearborn outstanding. GLB you are the Silver Master. Guys I didn't have plans to buy any more gold this year, I'm not a wealthy man, but Ive been wanting one of these for so long. Of course this isn't the exact coin, I wont be getting it until late in the week at the earliest, but I couldn't wait to tell you. Hero's Bullion is unbelievably fast at getting your orders to you. I dont know what year mine will be but it will be in XF condition which is MS40. Which is good enough for me. As far as I'm concerned there is no such thing as a "bad" ST Gaudens, the most beautiful bullion coin ever designed. I'm very, very excited to say the least. This is what I call a "generational coin". A coin passed on thru generations like in that Indie movie "The Red Violin". And the funny thing is that I ordered it early Sat morning at about 0100 hrs "I have a sleep disorder". I expected to add another 1 oz Gold Eagle but after I woke up and saw a ST. Gaudens instead by mistake. So I went crazy all weekend while Hero's was closed, sending E-mails saying how I was going to call on Monday and change my order. But the more I thought about it the more I figured I needed the one coin I always wanted but didn't have and this morning I called them and told them to let the sale go thru. Any slight difference in gold amount I more then make up for with my new 1/10's Eagles. I think I did the right thing and am thrilled to be adding a classic to my collection. Ive been ASE mad the last few months anyways. I dont think the American mints get the credit they deserve. We have a rich history of coin and bullion making in America.

Hondo you are a numismatist to the bone.
Funny GLB but Ive been mooning Silver Swans all weekend. Numis Ed with another "keeper" and Minted Not Printed with a classic. Thanks guys for making this my favorite thread in the forum.

Quote: Nice gold coin, Silverskunk! Thanks Errors. I actually just checked the order again and the coin is in AU condition making it a VF50 and not a XF VF40. Nice. Boy these gold prices go up and down like those "super balls" we had as kids. I bet in the last hour the prices went up/down 6 times at least. Theres a couple high demand years that would be nice to get one. Highly doubtful but a girl can dream.

If you want to be sure of a grade, you can buy a graded Saint Gaudens, Silverskunk.
