I like the imagery / detail on that pentanummiun, paralyse, it seems to be a scarce variety...congrats on that snag... ... Dearborn ... your world collection grows, & those are nice examples ... keep it up ... ...Hondo ... really nice...congrats on that find ... great condition on that James II half crown ... love the history behind coins, & this one's no exception ... can you collect of tne interest?...

...just picked this off of ebay yesterday ... I had bought a similar 960 reis, (1819) that was struck over a Mexico City 1807 8 reales ... this is an earlier design (1814), & was struck over a Potosi 1813 8 reales ... ...Much of the host coin's (edge) detail is visible, without taking much away from the details of the 960 ... ...easily seen from the seller's pics, & enough to identify the date & mint, the host coin detail includes : full date, assayer's initials (thus confirming the mint - Potosi), crown from the host coin, various legend letters, king's ordinal: VII (Ferdinand), & marks in the proper place for the mint mark & denomination ... ...the main coin's details are sharp & well struck...the surfaces are original, & the patina matches my other 960 reis, my 1st purchase ...
