My travels happened to bring me to Munich at such a time that I was able to attend the FIDEM (International Federation of Medallic Arts) Congress. I very much enjoyed it, even though much of the medallic art on offer was of an avant-garde character, far from my core interests. George Cujaj was the US delegate, and had some medals made (by Medallic Arts, albeit with German inscriptions and a Munich beer mug theme) for distribution at a party he hosted.   Of course I must not omit the official medal of the Congress.  I ate the milk chocolate medal given me by the Swiss delegate, though. It wouldn't have kept anyway.  Edited by publius
