Another find from the 99 cent listings... seller had this listed as a no-date, but it is clearly discernible as a French 1793 (l'an 5) 2 Sols of Louis XIV minted in Strasbourg; this is the FRANCAIS version (the legend has FRANCAIS, there is a variant with FRANCOIS.) A big old chunk of copper (23g, 34mm diameter and 3mm thick) -- it's been really, really beat up but the historical aspect is more interesting than the coin itself to me in this case. The new uploader seems to be a hit or miss depending on what browser you're using it in. It seems to work better in Chrome than in Internet Explorer. Report this Post to the Staff

Also got it for under spot! Last but not least, 1908A Prussia 3 Marks. I'm just starting to get into German States coins, and I couldn't pass this up for $15.
