NumisRob Bedrock of the Community United Kingdom 18135 Posts	Posted 06/20/2021 05:48 am Nothing spectacular but quite a nice junk bin find yesterday - a 1970 Seychelles half-rupee (mintage 50,000): Even better - an 80% silver 1878 Straits Settlements 5 cents from the same bin. The silver content alone is worth $0.91, but this is quite a scarce coin with a mintage of 260,000 and I was quite amazed to see it valued at $100 in VF by NGC! This one is a little grubby though! mrwhatisit Pillar of the Community United States 2985 Posts	Posted 06/20/2021 08:02 am Well Dearborn, it's nice to get a full set of the 1960 cents like that for your album (now to see what rpm's those 60d's are ). NumisRob, I love those kinds of finds in junk collections/bins, and the Straits S, coin is what I term Accidental Silver, where the dealer does not know they have silver in a bin/box and I find it for not a big cost.
