Recently completed my 19th Century 8-piece 20 Franc gold Type Set, featuring a succession of Heads of State, Ceres as symbol of the 2nd Republic, and ending with the "Lucky" Angel and Rooster of the 3rd Republic. In chronological order.

The coins do look much better in hand and are typically AU-53 to AU-58.

Going to re-start my coin TYPE set and see how much I can do before the year is out. But I'm also going to be getting all the uncirculated (burnished) ASE from '86 to present. Already have a few, but here is one that just came in today:

It came from a mint set and I only paid 6.50 for it.
I didn't want to take it out of the 2x2 due to the condition.

I finally got one of each type bullion ASEs. I don't like the premiums, but thought it was a good idea being a transition year:

I also added one of these St. Helena Victory coins to the order. It's quite a nice coin to look at whether simply bullion or not.

Absolutely wonderful! And in a nice presentation case too!

From the same era but from the other end of the value spectrum:

Jersey, 1/13 of a shilling, 1851.

Very nice spruett001, I like the side by side comparison. You can seethe changes on the obverse that was made to make it look more like the artist's design.
