I just received another coin to add to my 20th century proof type set. I had a higher grade in my wantlist, but this PR64CAM has a very nice appearance with just a bit of faint toning around the rims. As usual for proofs, the luster and surfaces look nicer in hand than they appear in my photographs. I took probably 40 pics of this one in different lighting and even using different cameras, and this was the best I could do The PCGS TrueView pics show the detail better, but make the coin look far darker than it really is...

Gorgeous dime, @hokiefan_82!
I am not sure why so many collectors dislike Barber coinage. I do like the design.

That is easily solved by adjusting the contrast/brightness of the TrueView jpeg in photopaint/shop.

Thanks, NumisEd. I've been a fan of Barber coinage since I was a kid in the 1960's. I recall being fascinated by the fact that they were being minted when my grandparents were born.

I find proof and high-grade MS examples to be particularly attractive, especially for the quarter and half dollar.

Thanks, I didn't think about trying that...

I pulled this older U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots medal from a bag of junk coins and tokens. It's about the size of a quarter.
