I appreciate it! I too wonder who may have handled my old silver dollars and where they may have been.

Just added a proof Shield nickel with rays to my proof type set. Only one more proof nickel needed to complete that subset - a Type1 Buffalo.

Congratulations! One of my favorite coins. Being brought up at the father like a western movies, I always have to wonder if my seat a dollar was once handled by a famous at the historic western figure.

Wow, I really have to start checking the dictation this new (to me) computer takes from me!

Sorry about that!

@hokie
That is one of the nicest Shield nickels I have ever seen. Congratulations!

@wallyb - for my proof type set, it's not really very many coins. I now have 2 Shield nickels (with and without rays), a Liberty nickel, 3 Buffalo nickels (T2 matte proof, brilliant proof and satin proof), and the wartime and pre-1965 proof Jefferson nickels. I also have type examples of all the post-1964 Jefferson proofs, specimen and SMS issues, so that's quite a few additional there.

And, shoot, when making this list I realize I'm still missing the proof Liberty nickel without cents. So I actually still need two more proofs!

@wallyb, I'm going to be out of town for a while, but when I get back I'll see about doing that.
