Received this today from ratio411 as a result of a contest won by amida17 and sent to me. 1948-D UNC has a beautiful champagne tone that somewhat came up on the pic, looks much nicer in hand. It now resides in a nice safe air tight!   |

This is why I cant ever finish an album. I was shopping for my type set and found this. I remembered that the sovereigns had a low mintage so I snatched it up. I don't even collect Australian coins.   |

Where are the one with the pineapple and the orange from? At least I think its an orange.

The Orange is from the Cook Islands and the pineapple is from the Bahamas, come to think of it they might have come out of the Quarter rolls the Cook Island one is pretty wide.

Should retail around $5 US
Bread fruit has a leaf with fingers similar to a Monstera plant

Bread Fruit? Never heard of it. I'll have to dig it out again and have a look for the date, seems I lost the pics of the back sides of those coins.

You're right, it's an orange. I had some breadfruit on Maui once, pretty dang good.

@52Raymo Just a note on the breadfruit in Maui, there is a farm/orchard there that has the most varieties (50 or so) of the tree in the World. My guess is you got to taste the best the world has to offer.
