Two part question. This is in a no problem old small ANACS holder. I have never submitted it for crossover. Part 1, guess the grade in the ANACS holder. Part 2, guess what NGC/PCGS would grade it today. Extra credit - what would EAC grade it?

I would guess it would be in an ANACS 64 BN holder, a PCGS/NGC 63 BN holder, and EAC would have it at 58

ANACS 62BN

PCGS NGC 63BN

I think the old ANACS were fairly tough graders...not sure who EAC is.

I know I will be in the minority here

Either way it's a sharp coin

MS-62BN in the old holder. My grade is MS-64BN. EAC would most likely have this one at AU-55 or 58 (not really sure). Nice coin

I don't know enough to attempt a guess, but I will say it's a gorgeous coin!

Keep those guesses coming! BTW, ANACS calls it out as a N-6, if that matters.

pretty coin. nicely struck. love the color and eye appeal. tiny nick on reverse rim and weakness in obverse at 12 oclock would affect EAC

ANACS 64BN, a PCGS/NGC 64BN, EAC 63BN

Well, the guesses were all on the low side.

Tbh MS-65 seems believable, IMO if you were looking to sell it, I think it could possibly cross at PCGS/NGC. Very nice coin, one of the few MS brown copper coins I have seen that actually seems to be an MS and not just an AU with "eye appeal".
