GERMANICVS Pillar of the Community Germany 1849 Posts	Posted 10/03/2018 08:10 am This variety, S-273, is very common, R-1. There are 174 sales records alone in the HA archives. That is a very large number for a draped bust cent, even R-1's (by large cent standards). This coin has EF details or close to it (somewhat lower details by EAC standards) but the pronounced obverse corrosion will reduce the net grade substantially. I'm not knowledgeable on large cent varieties. If it was bid up and the winner purchased the coin based on Heritage's wholesale estimate, they have a serious beef with the auctioneer.
