Do the bigger coins have a harder time with MD?

No, MD effects all denominations, there is no difference when it comes to the size of the coin. Loose dies are loose dies no matter what the denomination. It looks like DDD. Die Deterioration Doubling, with MD thrown in.

I agree, Machine Doubling. At the end of the day it is still an Ike. A win in my book.
