Hi all, I have a British New Pence 2p that doesn't have a date. So I researched the coin and all I could find was articles on errors that made this coin rare. Please help me understand this coinage. And if someone could tell me how to post pictures on a iPad that'd be great.

I have heard of undated 20p coins but not 2p. I would very much like to see this.

The 20p came about because they changed the design moving the date from one side to the other, and accidentally mixed the old and new dies with no date. I have not heard of a similar story for the 2p. This causes me to wonder if it is a one-off minting error, or somebody has removed the date post minting. Good pictures may well help to decide how this occurred.

The date is present on this coin (behind the Queen's head) and appears to be 1971.
